The purpose of Party Up Publishing (PUP) is to party up independent authors for the mutual benefit of marketing, editing, proofreading, graphic design, production, and branding of our titles. A little about us.
We operate as a non-profit group of authors for the mutual benefit of all. We are currently in the process of migrating our company into a full non-profit with an estimated conversion date of Q1 2021. It takes some time to convert an LLC into a corporation and then into a non-profit but we are working on it.

What does it cost to join and where does it go?
We charge a joining fee of $50 with a yearly renewal of $25. We take no royalties from authors but ask that they list us as their publisher on KDP and add a page about us in their books to help raise awareness. All membership fees go into obtaining webinars and tools to help our members with a small amount going to corporation fees such as website hosting and corporate filing fees. Note: None of the membership fees go into salary or compensation of any kind to our members, board members or management. No one working at, volunteering or members of PUP receives compensation for their time.

What do you get for joining?

Member only forums. On our forms, we provide tips, tutorials, templates and a variety of other helpful information for authors whether they be seasoned or just starting out. This is an ever-growing pool of resources that all of us pitch in to grow. We encourage our members to share their own resources there and make this a great place for people to learn.

Webinars and Tools. We will also be purchasing, and developing, some webinars and online lessons regarding indie book marketing, writing, storyboarding and other areas of interest. Members will have a direct input in how we spend our resources and grow our knowledgebase.

Our street team. We have a small but growing street team who help read our books before they release and offer feedback. They are passionate about the genres we support and help promote our titles through word of mouth, social media, forum posts, and reviews.

Mentorship program. We offer a mentorship program where we pair newer authors with people who have published a handful of novels already and can help answer some of the beginner questions. Questions like, how do I sign up for KDP or should I go with exclusive distribution? The mentors, or party leaders, are available to answer questions the new authors may have in order to help ease them into the world of indie publishing.
